BARISTA

At VIETNAM COFFEE REPUBLIC (VCR), we look for individuals with the same passion for coffee, food, cuisine and the love to create the best experience for customers. The VCR team expects a Barista to be not only someone who make drinks but also a salesperson, a team player and someone who cleans.

You have former experience in this job? That is a plus but not all that we are looking for. We are interested more in ‘who you are’ and ‘what you care about’. All skills can be mastered, with a lot of practice. We can ensure to provide you a good working environment so that you can learn, challenge, and be rewarded for all that hard work.

You will:

Regularly drink VCR’s coffee to understand, ensure VCR’s quality standards and maintain it, thereby develop your coffee sense.
Support your teammates to create a welcoming experience.
Recommend and help customers on choosing the food and cakes created by our talented culinary team – which includes presenting, serving the dishes and cleaning afterward.
Update your knowledge about the drinks, food and products.
Work with your team to make the operation of the store smooth and clean – these tasks may include washing dishes, cleaning, making sure there are enough materials, and replacing trash bags.
Properly handle customers’ complaints and special requests.

You are someone who:

Understand the ‘Serving mindset’, like to serve and help others, like to smile, like group activities and love to learn.
Always keep the working space and the store absolutely clean and tidy.
Are reliable and consistent – your manager and teammates can always count on you to be on time, dress up properly and be ready to work.
Are serious about the quality of work.
Careful and detailed. You understand that every coffee cup or cuisine is only truly delicious when they are made wholeheartedly.

You have:

Basic math and calculation skill.
Ability to communicate in basic English.
Age of 18 or above.

STORE MANAGER

[COFFEE REPUBLIC – Thai Van Lung] is looking for a store manager who love to share great coffee, pastries/cakes and interesting experience with the customers.

Responsibilities:

Recruit and train baristas and team members, ensuring that all customers have a great experience at all VCR stores.

You will:

Recruiting and training staff.
Work with teams to creatively engage customers around, build relationships with existing customers, and welcome new customers.
Follow up all orders including coffee, food to meet customer requirements well.
Control inventory, ensure standards & avoid waste of materials.
Work at the counter, the guest area and connect with the office to stay productive, motivated and improve the quality of daily work.
Boost your store’s revenue efficiency in the most effective ways.
Manage the day-to-day operatio of the stores to have a transparent and smooth.

You are:

Have a spirit of service.
Love to be tidy & details.
To be dedicated, supportive, happy, hospitable and caring person.
Be ready to assist the customers and the team.

You have:

Experience in managing of retail, restaurant, hotel.
Leading a team of more than 8 people is an advantage.
Love and respect for coffee, good food and good customer experience.
Flexibility and creativity in solving problems, complaints from customers and negative issues arising from operations; always willing to complete the task.
Understanding of Profit & Loss reporting implementation and ability to suggest solutions to improve.
Skills in using Google Docs / Drive tool.

At our training lab at Vietnam Coffee Republic, we offer a variety of introductory courses on coffee brewing and tasting know-how. These classes will be a quick shot of “espresso” to boost your understanding of coffee and how to best enjoy your delicious cup of joe.
